The Charity Carnival Story
In 2002 a group of expatriate ladies banded together to host and organize a small charity bazaar to raise funds for 5 sick children. The bazaar brought together a display of Shanghai’s and Western cultures. This one day family day is a collection of fun activities, entertainment, cuisines and crafts for the young and the old to share and enjoy.
From these humble beginnings came the Annual Charity Bazaar held annually in different venues within Shanghai. A day for celebration and helping out, the bazaar has helped raise funds and promote social awareness in the community.
Since its inception, attendance at the bazaar has climbed steadily and our annual proceeds goal increases with it. Our mission is to promote public awareness to suffering children and help them live a normal if not better life.
The Charity Carnival is organized by volunteers in cooperation with the Shanghai Child Health Foundation.
